23 November 2009 Symposium with exporting enterprises of the European Union.

10 September 2009 DialApplet in the Voip2Day, in the framework of the next SIMO NETWORK 2009.

The DialApplet Free edition has just been launched. This edition is free (non-costly) and complete, and may be used with no time limits. We are proud to present you the new release 1.6.0 of DialApplet.

27 November 2008 DialApplet 1.5.2

The version 1.5.2 of DialApplet has been released including some fixes and improvements:

  • Improved the compatibility with the most recent PostgreSQL versions.
  • Improved the stability.
  • When there are too many popup windows (e.g.: when there are many pending notifications and they all appear suddenly) they move down as soon as there is some room for them so that they can always be seen.
  • Placed the Asterisk Manager option at the first place in the configuration dialog to improve usability.
  • Fixed a small bug that caused phone numbers added using the edition dialog to get blank spaces and hyphens removed.

5 November 2008 DialApplet 1.5.0

The new release 1.5.0 of DialApplet is here with a lot of improvements:

  • New list of extensions of the group fully renewed. Now it shows the context and all its extensions even if they are not talking and it provides two filters that allow you to show or hide the extensions that are not connected and the ones that are not talking.
  • Support for several phone numbers for each contact, allowing you to distinguish between fixed phones, mobile phones, faxes and switchboard extensions. A descriptive text can be also added for each phone number.
  • The active calls that were stablished before DialApplet started are now also shown.
  • DialApplet now has a chat system. To start chatting you may right-click an extension where a user is connected and select "Chat".
  • New field for every contact to show the contact's enterprise.
  • From the list of extensions you can double-click an extension to call it.
  • New voicemail messages indicator.
  • The status icon now also shows when the phone is disconnected.
  • German translation.
  • Now you may use blank spaces and hyphens in the phone numbers and if a phone number with a slash is copied it is understood as being two phone numbers so only the first one is copied. The international calling prefix is also correctly interpreted depending on the country which is configured in the system (for instance, in Spain it is understood to be 00 and on the USA 011).
  • Added an option to show the popup window warning or incoming calls when someone from the group receives an incoming call.
  • Added an option to automatically record all the calls.
  • DialApplet now receives notifications of changes in the database, so the changes are detected instantly and the load in the server is also reduced.
With this new version we also release DialApplet Auditor and DialApplet Essential. The Auditor edition allows you to monitor all the extensions in the switchboard, record their calls and spy them. The Essential edition is ideal for those who want to have DialApplet at the lowest cost and don't need advances features like the integration with ERP or CRM systems.


25 October 2008 Attendance to VoIP2DAY

DialApplet will be at the meeting point for the VoIP sector.

  • VoIP2DAY is born as a meeting point in the voice and video over IP world for Spain and Portugal.
  • It will take place next 12th, 13th and 14th at the Colón hall in the "Centro de Convenciones Norte" (Ifema - Madrid, Spain).

6 October 2008 DialApplet 1.4.2

DialApplet 1.4.2 has been released with the following improvements:

  • Fixed the detection of the IP address of the computer when there is some invalid network device reported by the system.
  • Support for opening links in HTML notification popup windows.
  • Improvements in the concurrent communications in Asterisk Manager.


18 September 2008 DialApplet 1.4.1

The new version 1.4.1 is available. Thanks to the new global shortcuts by contact it's possible to assign key combinations to call any contact we want. It also includes the following improvements:

  • When starting DialApplet twice, two instances of the application were executed and the icon appeared twice in the system tray. Now when DialApplet is executed two or more times, the second time no new instance is created but the first one is just activated.
  • Registers in the database the logout and logs the agent out when the computer is shut down, the user logs out of the system, the DialApplet process is finished and when the program is executed in a terminal and Ctrl+C is pressed.
  • Fixed a crash when a contact is copied to the clipboard and the Add button is used to add a contact from the popup window.
  • Notifications stay open all the time now until the user closes them manually instead of disappearing after 10 seconds.
  • Fixed a bug that caused DialApplet to stay all the time like if it was connecting to the server when an error happens while asking for the information of an IAX peer.
  • After changing in the configuration the global shortcut to open the quick call window, this change wasn't applied until the next time DialApplet was started. This problem has been fixed and now the change is applied instantly.
  • Changed the default key to open the quick call window to F12, since F11 is often used to set the programs on full screen mode.

26 August 2008 DialApplet 1.4.0

We have published the version 1.4.0 with new very interesting improvements.

  • Quick call: by pressing F11 (customizable) a window appears allowing you to quickly call any phone number or any contact in the contact list.
  • Copy to call: when you copy a phone number to the clipboard a popup window appears allowing you to call this phone number or add it to the contact list.
  • If there is a phone number in the clipboard, you can call it by pressing Control+Alt+V.
  • New feature to be able to save the last username and password used to log in, so you don't need to type it every time.
  • Added an option to make DialApplet start automatically when the system boots up.
  • The main window can be minimized to the system tray after connecting.
  • Improved compatibility with queues containing agents.


6 August 2008 DialApplet 1.3.1

The version 1.3.1 has been released now, including some improvements in respect to the previous version:

  • Improved the compatibility with IAX peers.
  • An error message is shown if the name of the SIP/IAX peer does not exist in the server.
  • The AGENTBYCALLERID_extension variable is now stablished correctly.
  • More details are stored in the log.


30 July 2008 DialApplet 1.3.0

The new version 1.3.0 has been released, containing interesting innovations. It has support for centralized notifications, which can be sent by DialApplet Manager to DialApplet users. Furthermore, several actions can be performed now when answering a call depending on the context from which it comes. The following changes are also included:

  • Added support for telephones whose user name is different from its extension number.
  • Improvements in the session management: by changing the configuration, the user doesn't need to login in again (unless the server configuration has been changed). If the connection gets broken, DialApplet restores the login automatically upon recovering it.
  • By changing to the break mode, the session of the agent is closed, so you queue agents won't receive anymore calls.
  • Changed the iconset to the Oxygen theme.
Important: Now instead of defining the extension number in the DialApplet configuration, you have to start the SIP or IAX user name corresponding to the telephone what normally match with the extension number, but do not have, wherefore depending on the Asterisk configuration.


15 July 2008 DialApplet 1.2.2

The new version 1.2.2 contains some fixes:

  • The recording of calls when the call is made to a queue with agents has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the contacts in the contact list not to be shown when clicking the clear button.
  • In certain cases the phone number of the caller was not shown. This problem has been fixed.


30 June 2008 DialApplet 1.2.1

The version 1.2.1 has been released now, including the following changes respect to the previous version:

  • Improvement in the agents authentication system.
  • New feature: a new option has been added, allowing you to show the number of seconds the phone is ringing without being answered.
  • When requesting the help a web browser is opened with the user manual, more complete and updated than the small internal help file DialApplet had.


10 June 2008 DialApplet 1.2.0

DialApplet 1.2.0 has been released. This new version includes two important changes. On one hand, support for PostgreSQL has been added, switching to it as the database management system that is used by DialApplet. On the other hand, though DialApplet already showed the pictures associated to the contacts in the database, now it ¡s also possible to add, modify or remove the pictures from DialApplet when editing a contact. The following bug fixes are also included:

  • When a contact is added in the middle of a conversation, the details of that contact are now shown instantly instead of having to wait for an update of the contact list cache.
  • Improvements in the installer and the software update system.
  • Fixed a bug in the automatic update that caused the downloaded Windows installer not to be deleted after finishing the software update.
  • New feature: automatic download of the configuration by a XML file.
  • New feature: button in the "My extension" panel and the call popup window that allows you to add a phone number to the contact list.
  • The details of a call can be copied from the "My extension" panel.
  • A small description in the textbox used to type a phone number to call.


30 May 2008 DialApplet 1.1.3

Released the revision 1.1.3 of DialApplet with the following changes:

  • Fixed automatic updates in openSUSE 10.2. Now YaST is used instead of Zypper in this version and earlier versions.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the contact's picture to appear properly.
  • If a contact's picture is bigger than 64x64 it gets resized. That way the popup window doesn't get too big.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the contact list to be cleared when disconnecting from the server and connecting again.
  • Changed the break and log out icons because they were a bit confusing.


22 May 2008 DialApplet 1.1.2

  • Added a change log to the contact list. Using it, instead of having to download all the contacts from the database each time to update the cache, only the changes are downloaded. Thanks to it, the contact list can now be safely updated every 10 seconds, not every 5 minutes like it was until now.
  • New feature: now an e-mail can be sent to the contacts through the contact list context menu.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the serial numbers of the Call Center edition to be confused with the Enterprise edition.


17 April 2008 DialApplet 1.1.0

DialApplet 1.1.0 has been published. The most important new feature is a new centralized contact list that is stored in a database. The contacts can be added, modified and removed from a panel specially dedicated to it. Also, now the size of the panels gets correctly restored on DialApplet start, just the same as it was left the last time.

In this version a few bugs have been fixed:

  • A crash has been arranged when DialApplet the first time is configured without activating autoprovisioning.
  • Sometimes the serial number was not properly registered. This bug has been fixed.


25 March 2008 DialApplet 1.0.0

The version 1.0 of DialApplet has been published. This version has a renewed interface with a different design and distribution of its elements that works out nicer and more intuitively. The installation has been homogenized, offering DialApplet installers for Windows, RPM packages for openSUSE and .tar.bz2 packages for other distributions of Linux. A software update system has also been included, checking for new DialApplet versions and allowing the user to easily download and install them. It also has the following changes:

  • A text box has been included that allows you to call any phone number just by typing it and pressing Enter (Click to call).
  • DialApplet tries to create the database tables if they are not created, so it's not needed to create them manually anymore when performing the installation.
  • Improved security on database queries.
  • Now the list of extensions in the same context is obtained from Asterisk instead of storing it in the database.
  • Added an option to get the extension number from the IP address of the device used to stablish the connection to Asterisk.
  • Changed the error management to show a clearer message when the network doesn't work.
  • The Tecsible proxy is now optional, so it's also possible to stablish the connection directly to the Asterisk Manager.
  • The administrator password can be changed in the configuration dialog.
